From initial scoping to certificate issue.
A transparent six-step engagement model used across class surveys, statutory work, and advisory mandates.
- Step01
Initial scoping
A complimentary call with a senior surveyor to understand the vessel, the trade, and the certification objective. We confirm flag-state delegation and outline the workstream.
Typical duration1–3 days - Step02
Engagement & planning
Fixed-fee proposal, contract execution, and assignment of a dedicated engagement manager. Dates are coordinated with the vessel's voyage plan.
Typical duration3–5 days - Step03
Records review
Off-site review of class records, previous survey reports, and statutory certificates. Outstanding conditions are flagged early to avoid quayside surprises.
Typical duration5–10 days - Step04
On-board survey
Exclusive GR Class surveyor attends the vessel. Hull, machinery, electrical, and statutory systems are inspected against the scope. Live findings shared with the master.
Typical duration1–10 days on board - Step05
Reporting & corrective action
Survey report issued within 48 hours. Any conditions of class or recommendations are tracked through close-out with the engagement manager.
Typical duration2–14 days - Step06
